The deputy governor of Marib Governorate, Dr. Abd Rabbo Miftah discussed with the team of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen (OCHA), currently visiting the governorate, the humanitarian situation in the governorate and the impact of organizations suspending their interventions for many projects in the governorate.
During the meeting, the representative of the OCHA Humanitarian Fund, Dania Al-Ati gave an explanation about OCHA’s efforts to help the local authority in facing the challenges of humanitarian needs, given that Marib governorate houses the largest number of displaced people in Yemen.
The office puts it among the priorities of its projects. They pointed out that the Humanitarian Fund has allocated about $20 million to finance humanitarian work in Yemen through local partners..
