President al-Alimi receives Chairman of European Commission

President Rashad al-Alimi received Monday Chairman of the European Union's Commission Gabriel Vinales, who handed over president an invitation to visit Brussels soon in the future.
In the meeting, President of the Presidential Leadership Council welcomed the Ambassador of the European Union and also welcomed the EU's invitation, which will be schedule lately.
The meeting touched upon latest developments in Yemen, the UN Truce's track and international and European pressures on Houthi militia to abide by its pledges included in the truce, including opening roads of Taiz and other provinces and paying salaries of government employees in their held areas from revenues of Hodeida Port.
President al-Alimi praised European support to Yemeni people and efforts of realizing peace and stability in the country and alleviating humanitarian suffering.
For his part, the European Ambassador confirmed continuity of its support to the Presidential Leadership Council and support to UN Envoy's efforts to renew the truce and building on it for reaching inclusive solution serving interest of the Yemeni people.
