Yemen-British security collaboration discussed

Minister of Interior Maj. General Ibrahim Haidan met here today with the British Military Attaché in the British embassy in Yemen.

The session aimed to discuss aspects of security cooperation between the two country in the fields of fighting terrorism, training and coastguards actions.

General Haidan stressed on the importance of security coordination and collaboration between the two countries, highlighting the need for training Yemeni security forces so that they can do their job effectively in fighting terrorism and organized crime.

The British Security Attaché confirmed his country's keenness to support the Interior Ministry's efforts to combat terrorism.
