Minister of Public Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh discussed Tuesday with the Delegation of UNICEF headed by Deputy Executive Director of the organization Hanan Sulaiman interventions of the organization in Yemen.
Minister Buhaibeh confirmed deep-rooted partnership with UNICEF as one of prime supporters to health sector in Yemen, pointing out to importance of providing initial healthcare services freely, especially in remote and rural areas.
He pointed out to significance of joint work between the two parties to find solutions to different health issues, including medical supply and problems of delaying it, enhancing work system and its continuity and contribution in increasing social participation.
For his part, Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population for Initial Healthcare Ali al-Walidi reviewed measures and procedures taken by the ministry in many fields, mainly vaccination field.
