The U.S. Embassy in Yemen has stated that the inspection of any vessel by the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism in Yemen (UNVIM) does not mean that it is safe from U.S. sanctions, especially those ships, entities and individuals providing material support to the Houthis.

FM discusses relief activities with Swedish organizations

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ahmad Awadh bin Mubarak discussed Thursday with heads of Swedish humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen challenges facing relief work and major challenges facing their activities.

FM confirmed commitment of Yemen's government of providing different forms of facilitations to humanitarian organizations to alleviate severity of humanitarian situations in Yemen over Houthi militia's closure of outlets and seizure of relief materials and referring them to financing their war against Yemeni people.

He pointed out that the government is currently working on implementing one-foot station to save time and efforts in dealing with humanitarian work.

He praised efforts of the humanitarian organizations in Yemen and their contributions in alleviating humanitarian crisis, condemning Houthi militia's obstacles before humanitarian activities in their held areas.

He listened from leaders of the humanitarian organizations on explanation on challenges facing humanitarian activities in Yemen and promised of full cooperation from the government with the organizations for solving them.

They confirmed continuous work with the government to overcome these challenges.
