The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Deputy Governor of Marib Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbu Meftah called on the UNHCR to have greater role in supporting the IDPs and refugees in Marib governorate.
He made his appeal as he met today here with the official in charge of protection in the bureau of the UNHCR in Aden Mary Hisol.
Meftah stated that Marib governorate is housing now above two million and 300 thousand internally displaced persons (IDP) distributed tow 145 camps and more than 20 thousand African refugees.
