Arab League SG warns of Houthi escalation in Marib
[17/02/2021 02:35]
CAIRO-SABA
The Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Ghiet has warned of terrorist Houthi militia's continuous military escalation in Marib, holding the militia full responsible on deteriorating situations of Yemeni people and prolonging the war.

In a release he issued Wednesday, Aboul Ghiet confirmed that the militia made use of some changes on international level and seeks to escort political gains through military escalation targeting populated areas, pointing out that this dangerous escalation makes resumption of the political process more difficult.

He stressed that the political solution requires imminent stop of military operations as a first step, calling Houthi militia to abide by the ceasefire in all warfronts and stop attacks against Saudi territories.

He re-confirmed that the Arab Coalition's forces showed necessary commitment for de-escalation, pointing out that the human crisis in Yemen represents huge concern to the Arab League.
