The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Yemen to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah Assa'di said my country has been experiencing difficult humanitarian and economic situations for more than six year as a result of the coup d'état by the insurgent Houthi militia against a legitimate government and the Yemeni peoples' consensus aimed to establish a federal democratic state.

Speaking at the first session of the preparatory committee for the UN's Fifth Conference of the less developed countries held today in New York, he went on saying the militia's coup has resulted in serious deterioration of the economic and human development indicators, cessation of basic services, prevent the employees in the militia controlled regions from their salaries, closure of many educational, health and production institutions.
