The Government of Republic of Yemen welcomed the International Security Council Resolution about renewing Yemen sanctions regime.
The International Security Council on Tuesday renewed its sanctions regime on Yemen for another year in its resolution no 2511 of 2020. The resolution now is in effect through February 2021.
Yemen's Permanent Represemtative to the UN Ambassador Abdullah Assa'adi welcomed the resolution in his statement before the UNSC." We welcome the UNSCR about renewing Yemen sanctions regime", Assa'adi said.
He stated that the Houthi militia has continued to get around of Stockholm Agreement, refusing to carry out its obligations.
Assa'adi blamed Iranian regime for violating the UNSCR resolutions in relevance. He said " the Houthi militia has continued to receive Iranian experts, military support and weapons from Iran in a flagrant violation of the International Security Council's resolutions about arms embargo on Yemen".
