The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Basohayb, WFP, discuss delivering wheat shipments, distribution to beneficiaries

Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Nizar Basohayb discussed with the Deputy Director of the WFP in Yemen, Ali Reza and the Director of the WFP office in Aden Asif Bhutto, the mechanism of delivering wheat shipments to the program’s warehouses and distributing flour to beneficiaries in the country's governorates.
The meeting also discussed the various facilitations the Ministry of Planning offers to the WFP to help it implement its projects, out of the Yemeni government's commitment to implement the directives of His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi in this regard.
Dr. Busaheb stressed the importance and necessity of cooperation and coordination between all the concerned authorities represented by the ministries of Planning, Industry and Trade and the World Food Program in the process of delivering wheat shipments to the warehouses designated for them and to ensure their compliance with safety specifications.
