The Secretary General of Abyan Local Council Mahdi al-Hamed has praised efforts of UN organizations in the province.

In his meeting with the Delegation of the Office of Coordinating Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen (OCHA) headed by Office Director Andrea Richa and representatives of World Food Security on Thursday, the convening parties discussed situations in the province and the destruction left byHouthi militia- triggered war on infrastructure over Houthi militia coup.

Al-Hamed expressed aspirations for more support to Shoqra District, which has strategic situation for fishing, pointing to damages left by the war and cyclones on the city and fishermen's possessions.

For his part, Director of OCHA confirmed continuation of providing relief and humanitarian support, pointing out that the organization is planning to make quick interventions in the province.
