The U.S. Embassy in Yemen has stated that the inspection of any vessel by the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism in Yemen (UNVIM) does not mean that it is safe from U.S. sanctions, especially those ships, entities and individuals providing material support to the Houthis.

Fatah: Houthi militia holds 80 trucks laden with relief stuffs in Ibb governorate

Minister of Local Administration—Chairman of High Relief Committee—Abduraqeeb Fatah al-Aswadi called on the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs to Yemen Lise Grande to act as soon as possible to set free 80 trucks loaded relief, humanitarian aids and fuels have been held back by Houthi militia for over 2 months.

The Minister told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) Houthi militia detained more than 80 trucks laden with relief stuffs belong to the World Food Program (WFP) and (FAO) in the governorate of Ibb. The trucks loaded as many as 14,290 metric tons of different relief and humanitarian assistance provided by WFP, besides 300 tons by FAO and 5 trucks laden with fuels for hospitals.

Fatah blamed Houthi militia for employing their control over Hodeidah and Ibb governorates to block relief and humanitarian aids which allocated to the militia-controlled regions.
