Foreign Minister Discusses Humanitarian and Development Respons

Foreign Minister and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba discussed today with Acting UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Laurent Bukera the latest developments and the repercussions of the recent escalation by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between the Yemeni government and the United Nations to address humanitarian and development needs.

HR Ministry discusses preparations for rights report in Yemen

Minister of Human Rights Mohammad Askar held a meeting with the government's technical committee entrusted with preparing regular report on human rights file in Yemen.

The meeting discussed preparations for government's response on Human Rights Council's recommendations on periodic review the government has reservations on it in the 32nd Round of the council'sgroup tasked with revising 70 recommendations last January.

Askar confirmed significance of following up member bodies in the technical committee for preparing for responses to the recommendations and raising them to the cabinet for approval.
