Yemen's Ambassador to Austria Haytham Shojaa al-Deen and the head of the Global Maritime Crime Program Alan Cole have discussed cooperation between Yemen and the Program in building the capacity of Yemen's coast guards to effectively combat trafficking and piracy and secure Bab al-Mandeb straits and the international shipping lanes.
They also discussed the possibility of opening a branch office for the program in the temporary capital Aden to arrange a direct cooperation and training and equipping of Yemeni coast guard forces.
