STOCKHOLM-SABA
The Dutch-Yemeni Center for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms in partnership with the International Union of Yemeni Communities and a number of human rights and peace organizations organized a seminar entitled "Stockholm Consultations and the Prospects of Peace in Yemen" in Stockholm on Tuesday.

The workshop tackled a number of issues related to the prospects for peace in Yemen and the Yemeni aspirations for security, stability and economic and social reconstruction. The seminar decided to present its recommendations related to achieving peace in Yemen to the ongoing UN-sponsored peace consultations between the government and the Houthi rebels.

Speaking in the seminar, Yemeni researcher Naser al-Qudari has said the Houthi militia "exploited the poor surveillance on the international waters" to smuggle in Iranian arms and military technologies that the former Yemeni army did not even possess.
