Five out of eight drinking waters wells are put into operation in Al-Gaza' water network on Saturday. That means 65% of the water supplies capacity has been reinstated in the central city of Al-Gheidhah.
An official of the Water Corporation in Al-Maharah province to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) "Water supplies will gradually be resumed in some parts of the city, mainly the ones located in low areas, in the first phase ".
Water network has largely been damaged by the "Luban" tropical storm which hit Al-Maharah recently. Pumps units and electricity generates were seriously affected, put out of operation.
To re-operate the water project local authority provided two emergency generators with 80KW total capacity.
