The U.S. Embassy in Yemen has stated that the inspection of any vessel by the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism in Yemen (UNVIM) does not mean that it is safe from U.S. sanctions, especially those ships, entities and individuals providing material support to the Houthis.

Swedish government's envoy to Yemen inspects humanitarian situations in Marib

The Special envoy of the Swedish government to Yemen Peter Simini paid a visit Wednesday to the province of Marib along with accompanying delegation.

The delegation's trip aimed to get firsthand facts about the humanitarian situations in the province which has been hosting large number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDP).

The delegation paid field visits to several locations including the Center for Rehabilitating Recruited Child in the city of Marib and the Center of Artificial Lims. Both facilities sponsored by KSrelif Center.

The Swedish-led delegations meet wish senior officials of local authority in Marib.

Deputy governor of Marib Dr Abd-Rabbi Miftah detailed the delegation the humanitarian situations in the IDPs camps, underscored the increasingly growing needs for humanitarian aids.

Miftah also cited the economic hardships and wide-scale damages caused by Houthi militia's coup and war it has launched against the legitimate authority and institutions throughout the country, including Marib.

The Swedish official expressed his government's interested in humanitarian situations in Yemen, cited his government's efforts aimed to offer help along with international organizations.
