Deputy Governor of Taiz for Health Affairs Dr. ElanAbdulhaq launched on Tuesday the Humanitarian Emergency Response Project for Combating Dengue at al-Thawra Public Hospital.
Ellan praised the big role played by the UAE Red Crescent in Taiz, where it has been implementing a number of projects, especially in health field and combating dengue fever, which killed many people.
For his part, the Coordinator of the UAE Red Crescent in Taiz Ibrahim al-Jebri made it clear the program aims at limiting the spread of dengue on city and countryside level, noting that the first phase provided the program with free of charge medicines for a whole month, in addition to lab solutions and supporting the health cadre with funds for a whole month.
There will be a mechanism for providing health and medication services to patients and following up infected cases via providing regular medication program.
