The Higher Supervisory Committee of local Taiz officials headed by governorAmeen Mahmoud has mulled over the tenders companies submitted to win a number of public facility reconstruction contracts in the war-torn city.
In the Committee convened in the city on Monday, Mahmoud stressed the need to prepare technical studies for projects transparently and impartially to take serious care to the money that will be spent on the procurements.
He highlighted the importance ofprojects conformity with the standard specifications.
He urged the Committee expedite the projects to ensure the re-opening of the state facilities and institutionswhich have been closeddue to the damage of the Houthi war on the city.
He directed the police to clamp down on all persons involved in impeding the reconstruction and re-equipment projects.
The projects will preparation of sewerages and re-equipment of the city's main hospitals.
