ADEN-SABA
President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, the supreme commander of the armed forces, received on Sunday the deputy commander of the UAE forces Staff Brig. Masoud al-Mazrouee, the commander of the Arab Coalition operations in Aden Lt. Col. Fahd Zahem, the commander of the Sudanese troops Lt. Col. Hisham al-Mubarak and the commander of the Bahraini troops Maj. Salman al-Qattany and Maj. Rashed Kamal.
Hadi welcomed the military leader, exchanged Eid al-Fitr good wishes with them and remarked highly on their heroic contributions to the Yemeni battle against Houthi rebels. "Military service is an honor and holy duty and you best lived up to it," Hadi told them. Hadi asked them to convey his regards to their fellow combatants in the field. He said that their sacrifices will always be appreciated by the successive Yemeni generations.
Yemen, backed by the Arab Coalition, is countering the Houthi rebel militia, an Iranian proxy that has roiled the country in a devastating conflict and in the worst humanitarian crisis ever.
