Hadi: Iran exploited nuclear deal to export violence, terrorism
[09/05/2018 01:13]

RIYADH-SABA
President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi hailed the US President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw the US from the Iran nuclear deal as the deal failed to protect the vital interests of the United States, and those of the allies and partners of the US in the Middle East, including Yemen.

In a meeting with US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tueller in Riyadh on Wednesday, Hadi said Iran had exploited the nuclear deal to export violence and terrorism to the countries of the region and to interfere in the affairs of those countries in line with the Persian state's expansionist agenda .

Tueller expressed the US support for Yemen and its government. He reiterated support to Yemen to counter terrorism and Iranian interference in the region until peace is achieved based on UN resolutions and other terms of reference for peace in Yemen.

Hadi and Tueller discussed a number of other issues of common concern in the meeting.
