Yemen ambassador: Houthishave had maximalist attitude

Yemen's Ambassador to Austria HaythamShijaa al-Deensaid that Houthis have had maximalist attitudes toward the government's concesssions offered during different rounds of peace talks.
In a meeting with Heinz Fischer the co-chairman of as co-chairman of the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens in Vienna on Friday, Shoojaa al-Deen said the government has offered concessions in different peace talks "but were met with maximalism and rejection from the coupist Houthi militia."
He, however, affirmed the government's commitment to a peaceful solution as pert the three terms of reference; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the United Nations Security Counciil resolutions concerning Yemen.
He briefed Fishcer on the humanitarian situation that the Houthi rebels have led Yemen to and the government's efforts to address the humanitarian crisis with the help of the Arab Coalition and the United Nations.
