The Republic of Yemen participated today, Thursday, in the meeting of central bank governors and finance ministers of the Middle East and North Africa countries, held in Washington, on the sidelines of the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB).

The United States, Britain, France and Germany voiced "condemnation" of Iran's breach of weapons embargo imposed by the UN on Yemen. The four countries' denouncement expressed in statement issued on Tuesday as Russia vetoed a UNSC's resolution was to blame Iran.

The four nations said in their statement" We welcomed the final report by the UN's Experts issued on February 15, and "we together expressed deep concerns about" the conclusions it incorporated".

The statement, which published by the American mission to the UN, added" we condemned Tehran for " its failure to honor its obligations" which "poses threat to regional peace and stability".

The four nations' statement went on" we call on Iran to immediately cease its activities which are inconsistent or violate" weapon embargo imposed on Yemen by International Security Council".
