RIYADH-SABA
President Abdu R. Mansour Hadi said that the Yemeni and Emirati blood blended together in the fields of honor and heroship, referring to the joint sacrifices in the battle against the Saleh-Houthi fighters.
The president made the remarks during a phone call to condole Khalifa al-Balloushi, a UAE citizen, on the death of his son, captain Ahmed, who was killed with three army comrades as their helicopter accidentally crashed in Shabwah on Friday.
The president hailed the UAE's brotherly stances and support to Yemen's government against the militant rebels group sponsored by the ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
At the time of the phone conversation, Yemen's ambassador to the UAE Fahd al-Menhali was on a visit to the martyr's family in their hometown of Atawiya in the UAE offering to them his condolences.
