The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

More than YR 117 million Zakat revenues in Aden during Ramadan

The collected Zakat revenues from Aden city during last Ramadan exceeded YR 117 million, YR 80,562,164 up from last year, the Director General of Zakat Duty Offiice-Aden, Mohammed Assaqqaf said.
The reason of increase in Zakat revenues is the efficient job the collectors did during the holy month, which coincided with June of 2017.
Add to that the local authority had decided to make salary payments to public and public-private institutions conditional on these institutions' payment of Zakat cheques.
