The Republic of Yemen has voiced deep concern over the military escalation in the sisterly Republic of Sudan, particularly the attacks targeting civilian facilities and critical infrastructure in the city of El Obeid, warning that such actions endanger civilian lives and further deepen the country's humanitarian crisis.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all parties to immediately de-escalate the conflict, give priority to dialogue over confrontation, and pursue a peaceful political solution that safeguards Sudan's unity, security, and stability.
The ministry reaffirmed Yemen's principled and consistent support for Sudan's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, while reiterating its rejection of all forms of interference in the country's internal affairs.
The statement concluded by expressing Yemen's solidarity with the brotherly Sudanese people and its sincere hopes that Sudan will overcome the current crisis and enjoy lasting peace, security, and stability.
