The Yemeni Deputy Interior Minister, Major General Mohammed Al-Amir, met with the UN Special Envoy's military advisor, General Antony Hayward, to discuss the country's security situation and efforts to combat terrorism.

Al-Amir highlighted the Interior Ministry's successes in dismantling terrorist cells and thwarting plots targeting stability in Aden. He emphasized the ministry's commitment to enhancing security and unifying decision-making in liberated areas.

The meeting also addressed the threat posed by the Houthi militia, backed by Iran, and their links to extremist groups like Al-Qaeda and ISIS.

General Hayward reaffirmed the UN's support for Yemen's peace process and efforts to alleviate humanitarian suffering.
