ADEN-SABA
Minister of State and Governor of Aden Governorate, Abdulrahman Sheikh, met today with UN Chief Security Advisor for Yemen Jorge Alturas to discuss ways to enhance joint coordination between the local authority in Aden and active international organizations.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Governor Nasr Shadhli and Undersecretary for the Development Sector Engineer Adnan Al-Kaf, reviewed humanitarian and service-related aspects aimed at meeting the needs of Aden city and its residents, as well as neighboring governorates.
Governor Sheikh stressed the importance of relocating the headquarters and operations of international organizations from areas controlled by the Houthi terrorist militia to the temporary capital, Aden, noting that such a move would play a pivotal role in improving the effectiveness of humanitarian work and ensuring the delivery of aid to its rightful beneficiaries across targeted governorates and regions.
