Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General Ahmed Al-Basar, chaired a meeting at the Ministry of Defense, emphasizing the military's commitment to supporting sovereign decisions and enhancing combat readiness.
The meeting, attended by senior military officials, reaffirmed the armed forces' role in safeguarding national security and stability. Al-Basar highlighted efforts by President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi and the military leadership to rebuild the defense and security institutions with Saudi Arabia's support.
He emphasized the importance of implementing decisions to unify military and security units under a single command, enhancing discipline, and preparing to counter threats, particularly the Houthi militia.
Al-Basar praised the success of operations in Hadramaut and Al-Mahra provinces and efforts to secure government institutions in Aden.
