Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Tariq Saleh met Thursday with President Ahmed al-Sharaa of the Sisterly Syrian Arab Republic.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the World Climate Summit held in the Brazilian city of Belém.

During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were discussed, led by latest developments in the situation in the region, ways to strengthen bilateral relations and joint coordination in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

The meeting also touched regional and international developments related to Arab security and challenges of peace and stability in the region.

The two parties stressed importance of unifying efforts to confront common challenges and enhance joint Arab action in various international forums.
