During the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Noman expressed gratitude for Congressman Sherman's consistent support for the Yemeni people against the Houthi militia's terrorist practices. Sherman has been a strong advocate for designating the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization.
The discussion also focused on the humanitarian challenges faced by Yemenis due to the Houthi militia's actions, including attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea. Noman called for continued US humanitarian assistance and cooperation with regional allies to expand aid efforts.
