The Republic of Yemen has called on the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take a firm stance and classify the Houthi militias as a terrorist organization, cut off their sources of funding and stop the flow of weapons and military expertise to them, in order to counter their ongoing terrorism that has come to threaten the region's security and stability.

Interior Minister, Kuwaiti Ambassador discuss joint security cooperation

Minister of Interior Maj. General Ibrahim Haidan discussed today, Thursday, with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Flah al-Hajraf bilateral security cooperation.

Haidan sought for more Kuwaiti support in training and capacity building to improve the Yemeni security services' capacities and efficiency.

The Minister greatly valued the key role of the State of Kuwait in helping the Yemeni people in various fields and different stages.

The Kuwaiti Ambassador stated that the State of Kuwait is willing to provide more support in different areas, particularly in the security and development domains.

"Kuwait will always remain on the side of Yemen", said al-Hajraf.
