Kuwaiti Fund signs Grant Agreement Worth $1.2 million for displaced persons in Yemen
The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Deputy Governor of Marib Dr. Abd-Rabbu Miftah and the new director of the UNHCR's office in Marib Mr. Shkelqim Shehu discussed the humanitarian situation of IDPs in the governorate, the pressing need to increase humanitarian interventions, and the challenges the local government faces as it seeks to offer services to IDPs.
Miftah laid emphasis on the importance of the humanitarian role of the UNHCR which leads the cluster of shelters and sub-shelters in the governorate.
