The Yemeni government has reiterated its call to the international community and the Security Council to provide assistance in finding possible ways to resume oil and gas exports as a crucial step towards achieving stability and economic recovery.

The Government of Yemen signed Saturday in the Provine of Xinjiang with the Chinese Company for Energy and Electrical Equipment a Memo of Understanding.
The Memo of Understanding, which was signed by Yemen's Ambassador to China Dr. Mohammed al-Maitami and Member of Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, stipulates on improving relations between the two countries in field of traditional and renewable energy and electrical equipment.
Ambassador al-Maitami praised the Chinese Company's willingness and its support to Yemen through implementing programs in needed fields in Yemen, expressing aspirations that the agreement would contribute in improving and enhancing industrial relations to serve the interests of the two countries.
For his part, the Chinese official confirmed his strong support to the company's contribution in the reconstruction program in Yemen and facilitating Yemen's access to Chinese assistances and easy loans.
