Minister of the Interior Major General Ibrahim Haidan praised the efforts of the army and the brave men of the security establishment in confronting terrorist crimes and organized crimes, thwarting the plans of the terrorist Houthi militias, and their capable response to the attacks and crimes of terrorism and sabotage by that militia.
In a speech delivered on his behalf by Assistant Inspector General, Major General Dr. Musab Al-Sufi, today, during the inauguration of the Arab Week for Awareness of the Dangers of Extremism and Terrorism, Minister Haidan appreciated the efforts of the army and security forces in confronting the attempts of terrorist militias to implement the Iranian mullahs’ agenda of destroying Arab regimes and destabilizing the security and stability of the region, threatening international navigation, endangering international peace and security, provoking conflicts and disputes, igniting war and spreading chaos, by collusion with other terrorist organizations and groups.
He praised the level of Arab security cooperation and coordination and the efforts being made in the field of combating terrorism through agreements and treaties in this regard. He said, "The Ministry of Interior has come a long way in unifying efforts to combat terrorism, unifying positions and enacting laws, establishing unified combat apparatus and mechanisms at the level of the Arab world, adopting unified positions and visions that reject extremism and terrorism, and unifying programs and activities to raise awareness about terrorist ideas and activities, in addition to unifying positions within the framework of efforts, coordination and cooperation at the regional and international levels, and strengthening the Arab role that rejects intellectual extremism and opposes the behavior of terrorism, organized crime, electronic terrorism, and the exploitation of artificial intelligence in the service of terrorism and sabotage.”
He stressed the importance of unifying ranks and concerted efforts at the preventive and defensive levels, and at the level of national, Arab, regional and international cooperation and coordination on the one hand, and the danger and spread of extremist ideology and terrorist and organized crimes across borders, which are difficult to deal with and address individually... calling on the media and activists on social networking sites and various official and civil institutions and agencies actively participate in spreading awareness and security culture against extremist ideas and terrorist crimes.
