Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh discussed with the representative of the United Nations Population Fund in Yemen a number of issues related to health issues.
In a meeting they held here today, the Minister of Health was briefed by the UN official on the UNFPA's interventions in the health sector, especially in the areas of reproductive health, maternal and child protection, locations of interventions, and future ideas and visions for all of these interventions.
The Minister stressed the need to involve the Ministry in preparing strategies and interventions, and to enhance joint and effective work in programs supported by the United Nations Population Fund, especially those concerned with women and children.
