Deputy Governor of Marib Dr. Abd Rabu Miftah discussed Wednesday with Vice President of the International Organization for Migration Mat Huber the organization's plan for transferring from emergency interventions into sustainable solutions phase for realizing economic recovery.
During the meeting, which has been attended by the Director of the IOM's Office in Marib Anders Hugland, Miftah praised efforts of the organization and its humanitarian interventions in the province.
He touched upon the significance of the transfer programs and sustainable solution with focus on improving and enhancing infrastructure projects to reduce effects of negative impacts of inflation, climate changes and decrease of humanitarian supply and organizations' interventions.
For his part, Huber confirmed that the organization is aware of difficulties and challenges facing local authority and humanitarian situation in the province due to the increasingly waves of displacement.
He confirmed his organization's commitment on continuous implementation of its humanitarian programs during the forthcoming period, in addition to resumption of voluntary return of African migrants to their countries.
