Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, discussed with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, the latest developments in the Yemeni arena and the efforts made to achieve peace.
Bin Mubarak renewed the Yemeni government's position in support of efforts to achieve peace, and that the government is doing everything possible to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and achieve their aspirations for a comprehensive and just peace in accordance with the agreed terms of reference.
He warned of the consequences of the Houthi militia's economic war on the deteriorating humanitarian situation and the need to take a firm international stance on these practices.
