Finance Minister contributes to the 14th Session of Arab Finance Ministers in Rabat

Minister of Finance Salim bin Bureik participated today, Saturday, in the 14th Session of the Council of Arab Finance Ministers, held in the Moroccan capital Rabat.
In his contribution to the deliberations he touched upon the food security crisis in Yemen, the needed assistances to improve the food security and bolster the financial and economic capacities.
He said" 20 million of the Yemeni population some 85 percent are in need for humanitarian aids out of them 12 million in dire need of the humanitarian aid according to reports issued by international organizations".
The Minister cited the government's efforts to boost the financial and economic stability in the country through financial, economic and monetary reforms program has been carried out under supervision by the Arab Monetary Fund and participation by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
