His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Sunday, at Ma’ashiq Palace, with Council member Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, Head of the German Mission for Economic Cooperation, Philip Nicholas, to discuss development and humanitarian interventions coordinated with the government and the international community.
His Excellency the President briefed the German delegation on the developments of the Yemeni situation, including the catastrophic humanitarian repercussions of the Houthi terrorist attacks supported by the Iranian regime on oil facilities and international shipping lines.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the firm German position on the side of the Yemeni people, its political leadership and aspirations to achieve security and stability, restore state institutions and the path of development and reconstruction in the country.
The President reaffirmed the importance of the German role in the European system, and the importance of moving from the relief role to the stage of economic and developmental support, and more sustainable interventions via local authorities and communities.
