Member of Presidential Leadership Council Abdullah al-Alimi received Tuesday US Ambassador to Yemen Stephen Fagen discussing with him latest developments in Yemen under Houthi terrorist militia's escalation and targeting civilians and economic and oil establishments.
Al-Alimi reviewed impacts of Houthi militia's attacks on vital oil establishments and their aftermaths on all humanitarian, economic, financial and livelihood domains, pointing out to choices of dealing with those repeated terrorist attacks on oil establishments and capabilities of the homeland and people, in addition to efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council to address general challenges in the country.
He praised US support to Yemen in different fields, expressing hope for more support to Yemen to meet humanitarian and developmental needs and working on regaining state institutions and improving infrastructure and national economy.
He confirmed significant role of international community to deter Houthi militia's terrorist attacks and Iranian blatant interferences in Yemen's internal affairs through sending more weapon shipments to the militia.
For his part, the US diplomat reaffirmed his country's support to the Presidential Leadership Council and its unity, as well as continuous support to alleviate humanitarian suffering and livelihoods of citizens.
He also confirmed support to international efforts to realize inclusive and permanent peace and ending the war.
