Lahj – Saba
The Governor of Lahj, Major General Ahmed Turki, discussed with representatives of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Yemen the level of implementation of the ongoing development projects in Lahj during the year 2022 AD.
During the meeting, the interventions of the United Nations Office (UNOPS) to support Lahj governorate were reviewed in a number of basic life sectors such as education, health, roads, water, sanitation and environmental sanitation.
The Governor of Lahj praised the humanitarian support provided by (UNOPS) in all fields, noting the importance of projects to improve infrastructure, their touch with the aspirations of citizens, and their contribution to alleviating human suffering, stressing the keenness of the local authority to overcome any difficulties that may face the implementation of projects and contribute to their success.
