The Government of Yemen has expressed its deep concern and regret regarding the recent decision made by the U.S. Administration to restrict the entry of citizens of the Republic of Yemen to the United States, as part of a group of countries included in this decision.

FM receives Credentials of Swedish Ambassador to Yemen

Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ahmad Awadh BinMubarak received Tuesday a copy of credentials of Swedish Ambassador to Yemen Petera Menader.

During the meeting, BinMubarak confirmed that the ministry of foreign affairs will provide all facilitations to the new ambassador to perform her duties as demanded, praising deep-rooted relations between the two countries.

He also praised vital role by Sweden in Yemeni file and the political and humanitarian support it provides to Yemen under these exceptional conditions.

He discussed with her latest developments in Yemen after Houthi terrorist militia's hinderance of extending the UN Truce and its military escalation in warfronts and targeting economic establishments and oil ships, complicating the humanitarian disaster in Yemen.

For her part, the Swedish diplomat confirmed her country's continuous support to Yemen and efforts of realizing peace in the country.

She also confirmed support to Yemen's security, sovereignty and territorial safety.
