Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the article about Yemen in the final joint statement of the 26th session of the ministerial council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union (EU) held in Brussels.
The Ministry highly appreciated the keenness of the GCC and EU on Yemen's security and stability and their concerns about the deteriorated humanitarian situation in Yemen due to the continuation of the absurd war.
In a press release learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) by the Ministry expressed deep appreciation for the GCC and the EU for their support for all efforts aim to make peace, reach cease-fire agreement and a political solution to the conflict based on the GCC' Initiative, its operational plan, outcomes of National Dialogue, International Security resolution 2216 and Saudi proposal to reach a cease-fire in Yemen.
The Ministry renewed the Yemeni government's categorical rejection to use Yemen by Iran-backed Houthi militia as a launching pad to fire ballistic missiles, booby-trapped drones, hijack the commercial ships and threaten security and stability in the region.
