PM orders tightening control over medicines market

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik has urged stringent supervision over medicines market and businesses to control prices and ensure good quality.
During his meeting today in the temporary capital Aden with the leadership of Ministry of Public Health and Population and General Authority for Medicines (GAM) he stressed that it is very important to activate the GAM's role in overseeing and regulating medicines production and imports in order to ensure good quality and reasonable prices.
He also directed to conduct studies about allocating certain areas for medicines industries in Aden and Hadramout.
The Prime Minister got familiar with a project for establishing Labs for controlling medicines and medical supplies good quality in the temporary capital Aden. The total cost of the project is over 3 million USD to be financed by the GAM.
