Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani called on the International Community, the UN and International Federation for Journalists to mount pressures upon the Iran-allied Houthi militia to release dozens of the Yemeni journalists who have been imprisoned in the militia's illegal jails.
On the World Press Freedom Day 3 May he was quoted by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) as saying" We remind all journalists and human rights activists around the world that they need to remember that there are dozens of Yemeni journalists were kidnapped from their own houses, arbitrary arrested and imprisoned in illegal detention centers, brutally tortured and sentenced to death".
