Planning minister says US terror labeling of Houthis may limit their stubbornness

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa’ed Badheib has stressed the “imperative” of the US designation of Houthis as a terrorist organization saying it may contribute to setting a limit for the stubbornness of the theocratic militants and their Iranian backers taking aim the Yemeni people.

In a visual communication with the Deputy British Ambassador Simon Smart, Badheib discussed the ways and mechanisms to enhance aspects of joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields. Badhieb who is the head of the governmental committee in charge of handling the repercussions of the American terror designation of Houthis said the designation will also limit the militia’s attacks on Yemen’s neighbors and threats to the security and stability of international navigation in the Red Sea.
