[08/01/2021 02:49]

ADEN - SABA
The Yemeni Government renewed its calls for labeling Houthi insurgent militia as one of the terrorist organizations based on the crimes and grave violations it has been committing on a daily basis against the civilians in the militia-controlled regions.

Most recent of all the militia's atrocities against al-Haimah region eastern Taiz governorate where the militiamen have launched aggressive military operation using medium and heavy weapons to shell the populations' houses. As a result seven civilians were killed including children and 11 more injured.

The Ministry of Human Rights and Legal Affairs issued a statement learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) stated that it has been following with deep concerns the Houthi militia's aggressive military campaign against al-Haimah region east of Taiz governorate, as the region has been subjected to bombardment with medium and heavy weapons, tens of families have been forcefully displaced, 8 children were kidnapped from their own houses and are being held as hostages.

The Ministry has condemned these brutalities and warned of the militia's incursion into the region as that will lead to mass-killing against the population.

The Ministry went on saying against this background it will keep on calling for designating Houthi militia a terrorist group should be enlisted in the international terrorism lists.
