CAIRO - SABA
The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, condemned in the strongest terms the bombing that targeted Aden International Airport, today, shortly after a plane carrying members of the new Yemeni government landed.
Aboul Gheit mourned the victims and wished safety for the wounded, and hailed the courage of the members of the new government urging them to stay the course in working to deliver Yemen in these difficult times.
An official source at the League’s General Secretariat said that the bombing is a cowardly terrorist act aimed at sabotaging the political agreement that was recently reached under the auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to which the new government was formed and the rift with the Transitional Council was healed.
