The Secretary General of Aden Local Council Badr Mua'wen and Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population Ali al-Walidi launched Saturday anti-polio national campaign is being carried out by the Ministry of Public Health.
The campaign is financed by World Health Organization, UNICEF, Vaccine Alliance and King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Activities Center.
The three-day campaign, which is carried out by 12957 health cadre, targets vaccinating more than 1.2 million children under five years in 13 provinces.
In the launch ceremony, Mua'wen and al-Walidi urged the vaccinating teams to double efforts to cover all targeted children, calling citizens and social activities to support health teams and enabling them to perform their duties as demanded.
